The criteria of the awards is determined by the school and could be for IMPROVEMENT or EXCELLENCE in a specific area, for example, academic, social, music or sport.

Miss Ela Threadgate was presented with her Strive Award and a $50 gift voucher. Miss Ela received this award for “Consistent effort in all areas of her education throughout 2018.” and was all too pleased to receive her award. Congratulations Ela!

Strive Awards – 2017
Each year Strive For Autism recognises outstanding individuals, distributing various awards; including the Strive Awards, Tim Austin Memorial Award and Ambassadors Awards, throughout our schools within the Hunter Valley and our local community.
In 2017, we had 28 students receive the Strive Awards. The ” Tim Austin Memorial award” went to an Aspect teachers aide whose effort throughout the year and contributions to our community were worthy of recognition, as well as 2 Ambassador Awards. With all award winners receiving a $50 cheque as well as their certificate.

We’d like to congratulate Dean Cook of West Cessnock Public School who was presented with the Strive award for his academic excellence and Noah Frazer from Kitchener Public School. 15 children this year were awarded the Strive award.
